Rental conditions
The Swiss Ski School Corvatsch-Pontresina AG rents out the Swiss Trac towing equipment on behalf of
Association Inclusiun Sportiva, c/o Marlies Zimmermann, Sala 239, CH-7554 Sent
Please note:
- The ‘Swiss Trac’ towing device is only compatible with the wheelchairs available at the hire station. This means that private wheelchairs cannot be connected to the traction device.
- It must be possible to transfer into the wheelchair independently.
- Users may use their own seat cushion.
- Users must be able to operate and steer the towing device independently.
- In the event of breakdowns on the tours, the renter is responsible for their own return transport and that of the device.
- The hire station accepts no liability for accidents.
Improper handling can result in very high material damage to the towing devices (Swiss Trac) and the wheelchairs. The following rules must therefore be observed:
- When not in use, the equipment must be secured against theft by means of a bicycle lock.
- Any damage must be reported immediately to the staff of the sports shop.
- If damage is suspected, the deposit of CHF 200.00 will be withheld until it can be verified whether any damage has occurred.
- If there is damage, the deposit will be charged to the renter in proportion to the damage. If the amount of damage exceeds the deposit, the damage must be reported to the renter's own liability insurance.
- Caution is advised on mountain hiking trails (white-red-white trails). These are only occasionally suitable for wheelchairs. Alpine hiking trails (white-blue-white trails) are always prohibited for wheelchairs and towing equipment.
- In the event of a breakdown, the hirer is responsible for the return transport.
- If the key is lost, CHF 40.00 will be deducted from the deposit. CHF 20.00 will be deducted from the deposit if the key to the bike lock is lost.
- Loading into a car is only permitted under the following conditions:
The boot has an intermediate floor with a flat entrance (without recess)
Completed training by sports shop staff.
Use and loading is at your own risk. Any damage to the vehicle will be rejected by Inclusiun Sportiva.
Damage caused to the towing device and the wheelchair during loading and unloading shall be borne in full by the hirer.
Public transport is to be preferred to private loading and unloading in cars.
The towing device weighs 70kg. Dimensions 80 cm long x 50 cm wide x 60 cm high.
Winter:
- Special care must be taken in winter. The towing device can get stuck even on simple winter footpaths. Use at your own risk.
- Frozen lakes may only be travelled on if they have been officially cleared (marked with purple winter hiking trail signs. The cross-country ski trails marked in green may not be used).
